The programme seeks to develop and empower persons with disabilities to pursue a career in the arts to become professional artists.

ARTDIS Singapore was set up in 1993 as a charity to provide opportunities for persons with disabilities to participate in the arts. 

ARTDIS aims to:

- Promote the educational, social, rehabilitative and therapeutic benefits of visual, performing and literary arts;

- Create pathways for persons with disabilities in the arts; and

- Assist persons with disabilities in obtaining financial independence through arts and arts-creation through running art programmes, workshops, competitions, annual concert and art exhibitions for the special needs community and raised public awareness of their clients' talent and resilience.
